Charlie Parker Art
Charlie Parker was a highly influential jazz soloist and a leading figure in the development of bebop. However, it was not always like that. For many years at the beginning of his career, Parker had to practice and work diligently. In an interview with Paul Desmond, Parker said that he spent three to four years practicing up to 15 hours a day. Through hard work, dedication, and perseverance, Charlie Parker shined through his skill and improvisation, a talent nobody could no longer ignore.
Like many greats, Charlie Parker challenged the status quo and contemporary music at the time. Unfortunately, Parker passed away at the age of 34 but it was not without introducing a new style that would permanently change Jazz forever.
"They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art."
-Charlie Parker
