The Movement to Fight for Freedom, Liberation and Justice
"Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced."
Em & Ahr stands in support of social equality for all because nobody should feel ostracized and targeted due to the color of their skin, their religion, gender, or sexuality. As Baldwin would say--
”FROM MY POINT OF VIEW — NO LABEL, NO SLOGAN, NO PARTY, NO SKIN COLOR AND NO RELIGION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE HUMAN BEING.”
This is why we are donating 5% of all Baldwin proceeds to fight injustice. Read down below about the organizations that are changing the world. With your support, we can all move toward James Baldwin's America where one day we will not see color, religion or sexuality. Toward a future where we only see ourselves in others, because deep down, we are all the same and we are all in this together.
"#BlackLivesMatter was founded in 2013 in response to the acquittal of Trayvon Martin’s murderer. Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives."
"Our communities are being inundated with painful stories and images of Black people targeted, harassed, arrested, and killed by police and racist vigilantes. As Black people all across the country grapple with the aftermath of an unprecedented global pandemic, somehow Black people also have to figure how to stay alive while jogging, buying groceries, and yes -- even while sleeping. Color Of Change was founded in moments just like this one. We have challenged injustice and advanced solutions for racial justice that can transform our world. We have run campaigns that not only hold police accountable but also change the rules and structures that allow them to escape any consequences."
